On March 24, the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone, together with four China-Sierra Leone friendship organizations, held a symposium on China’s Two Sessions. Ambassador Zhao Yong and Director General of Performance Management and Service Delivery of the State House Dr. Brima Patrick Kapuwa attended the event. About 80 participants, including representatives from China-Sierra Leone friendship organizations, think tanks and the media, were present.
Ambassador Zhao Yong gave a full exposition of the Report on the Work of the Chinese Government and the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He emphasized that China will adhere to high-quality development and high-standard opening up, and continue to focus on the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. China stands ready to strengthen exchanges with Sierra Leone on governance experience and advance bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation, so that its outcomes will better benefit the two peoples.
Director-General Kapuwa and other participants spoke highly of China’s achievements in economic and social development, and expressed readiness to continue contributing to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
