To further facilitate people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries, following adjustments on the visa and entry policies for foreigners travelling to China will take effect on March 15, 2023:

1. Foreigners with valid visas issued before March 28, 2020 will be allowed to enter China.

2. Foreigners may apply for all categories of visa from the Embassy. For the specific requirements on visa application, please refer to Notice on the Adjustment of Requirements for Chinese Visa Application (Updated in March , 2023) on the Embassy’s website (http://sl.china-embassy.gov.cn/eng/ywzn/lsyw/qz/202301/t20230117_11009265.htm).

3. Port visas authorities will resume to issue all categories of port visa complied with statutory reasons (For details, please contact the port visa authorities of the intended destination ).

4. The following visa-free policies will be resumed: Hainan 59 country visa-free entry policy, 15-Day visa-free travel for cruise groups at Shanghai ports, visa-free entry to Guangdong Province for foreigners’ group from Hong Kong and Macao SARs, visa-free entry to Guilin of Guangxi Autonomous Region for tourist groups from ASEAN countries.
